Core Courses are for people who want to have a taste of what the Focusing process is really like and discover how it might be useful in their personal lives.  The purpose of these courses is to help you learn how to Self-Focus and be a Focusing Partner.

There are tremendous benefits to learning what Focusing can add to your life.  Many people have told me that even in learning the first step of Focusing called Clearing a Space, they experience noticeable relief from whatever happened to be bothering them or of concern.  Some people, with nothing really of concern, find in a few short hours that they experience a new level of comfort in their lives, their work, and their families.

While I cannot promise this will be the case for you, I am confident that you will feel more at ease in your life, however it is, in very little time.

Professional Courses lead to certification as a Focusing Professional or a Focusing Oriented Psychotherapist through the Focusing Institute.  Both tracks start with the same four levels of training and end with different projects that demonstrate teaching or therapeutic proficiency using the Focusing process.

The professional level of training can be done individually, with small groups of friends, or work groups.

See Events Calendar for event details.

I offer two kinds of Focusing courses, Core Courses and Professional Courses, to assist you or your organization in arriving at your potential.

All courses are available with Continuing Education credits through Seattle University.  You will be asked to indicate if you wish to receive a CE Certificate.  There is a small additional fee charged.  It is strongly advised that you check with your employer or professional organization to confirm that this workshop will satisfy their specific requirements.

Have you ever wondered if you could really find the answers to those nagging questions you have about your life?

Or wanted to know how to improve your personal and work relationships?

One proven way to take that all important step in the right direction is to learn Focusing.  Learning Focusing is not hard, yet it requires practice. Courses are offered throughout the year and are part of a comprehensive approach to learning the skills required to use Focusing for self improvement and more. If you want to pursue professional certification, you will be taught how to focus first for yourself, then in helping others, and finally to teach Focusing to groups and individuals by interning at Focusing workshops locally or elsewhere as are available.
